Things I learn as an Intern in Shanghai:<\/div>\n
On Culture<\/strong><\/div>\n
1. People here tend to not wait<\/div>\n
Especially true in traffic situations. They are generally seeing everything <\/div>\n
in time and $. That is why crimes that target based on human greed is<\/div>\n
widespread here.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
2. Cheers! \u5e72\u676f\uff01<\/div>\n
When you cheers and bring your glass against theirs, do bring\u00a0your glass<\/div>\n
LOWER than the other party. This is to show your humbleness. Especially<\/div>\n
if the other party is someone you need to respect.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
On Internship<\/strong><\/div>\n
1. Get someone (or many)\u00a0who can teach you<\/div>\n
Its hard to find one mentor that can show you the way ALL the way. Chances<\/div>\n
are you would have to fend for yourself most of the time. I think one would <\/div>\n
grow fastest this way.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Getting mentors from everywhere you can from as many aspects as possible<\/div>\n
would be ideal. (Assuming the Mentors are good at that particular Aspect).<\/div>\n
Most importantly. they must be willing to share! not just treat you like hands<\/div>\n
