On hindsight, this should be done last.<\/p><\/div>\n I tied a figure of eight as a stopper knot first.<\/p><\/div>\n Then I used a bowline to secure it to the PFD with the figure of eight stopper knot to make it ultra secure.<\/p><\/div>\n I shorten the loose ends by using a shoelace knot. Shortening this minimise the chance of the rope getting caught accidentally.
