TSD Day148: Jocelyn’s Farewell and Discussion with Rie!
Today I had a discussion with Rie on some issues that are close to my heart.
We also discussed on some clinic issues. Below are what we discussed. (Due
to the sensitivity of the issues, I will discuss them only in general.

1. People (Salary VS Expectations)
How to satisfy the unlimited wants of people? if we increase salary, it only serves
to satisfy them for a short period of time before it becomes a market rate and the
overall expected pay would increase, with no quantum leap of employee quality in
the long run… How do we strike the balance? That is the question…

2. Career Development
To increase overall quality of employees, one of the better ways is to paint a better
picture about the future. to let them know that there is a future, and every step they
take now helps to create their future in the company. In this way, they can see the
hard work as an investment.

If points 1 and 2 are covered well, point 3 would be the resultant. Else, it would be another
force to be reckoned with… Although there are a number of ways to handle short term

This is one problematic issues I think all healthcare organisation would face someday. I just hope
I can put what I learnt to good use! Forms and records would be a headache whether they are onine

Jocelyn’s Farewell!
Man!!! I will miss Jocelyn! haha! She and Bryan certainly added colour to my stint here! haha! We had
a farewell dinner at Shanghai Times Square, a korean restaurant. It’s a super fun dinner with friends
from all over the company!!! Especially Luwan and Admin! haha!

TSD Day146: BizBuzz08!~ Hong Qiao Clinic
今天有一些新的启发!关于Bizbuzz 2008! 我和Gary 打算把它搞大!
越大越好!现在我们还在找赞助商的阶段!很希望能找到不错的赞助商!

一个各部门的简单介绍! 很好!我不值学了一些基本功,打好这个领域

TSD Day145: Visit By Prof and Gabriel!
今天没什么重要的事。。 只是随便帮了Annual PArty 作点琐琐碎碎的事情。。
有点在混得感觉! 午餐就和HR的Angel 还有Jessica 一起吃午饭!哈哈!

下午,Prof Li 和 Gabriel 来Company Visit! 很庆幸!他们都没怎么说我的
坏话!哈哈!也在那里报销了BizBuzz 的费用!

健身!跑了6 公里!不错!哈哈!觉得自己的Stamina 提高了!哈哈!

TSD Day143: BizBuzz07 presentation!!!
FINALLY!!! the presentation!! haha! Sooo excited! and I was awaken by Daxiang at like
4am with his call from the US… haha… about the competition! haha! man!
BizBuzz07! oh yeah! haha!
Officially woke up at 615am to prepare to go to Fudan with all my stuff! Web cam, video
cam, laptops, everything! haha! man! Lucky Gary is with me! haha! Well, I am glad
that our consulting professor is there for us! haha! that certainly helped alot in terms of
morale! Also have to thank Fang Yuan for coming! Thank you sooo much! Love u all! =)
SHEN meeting
After that was SHEN meeting… Well, I guess i am too tired or sleepy… good food but not
much appetite… it’s at Shangrila’s Gui Hua Lou… we had buffett there!
Well, not everything is smooth in life… haha!
All along, I thought I was a pretty ok team player… until now… maybe I need to redefine
what does team player means.. haha! feels like I am in themiddle of 2 teams, between
BizBuzz07 (Which I am so darn proud to be part of with the other colleges) and SHEN.
Doesn’t feels too good when someone who essentially did nothing just pass some law to
the organisers without even asking for their opinions nor checking the SOPs if other similar
organisations are doing the same… But well, I guess u cant be happy with everything.

TSD Day142: Site testing for Bizbuzz!!! less than 24 hours!!!
ok! When we woke up early in the morning, its really nice to
see words of encouragement from leen and michelle! haa!
But we quickly made our way out of the house to Fudan for site testing!
Also, I quickly went to get a Logitech Webcam and Mic for 470 RMB!
don’t want to let the quality of the competition be a limiting factor
to our winning!
We had a long day… went back to home to continue our work at about
9pm… worked all the way till 2am!!! before I took a rest to prepare for the
competition tomorrow!!! Cant wait to win!!! haha!
Having a great team: The importance!
I would like to especially mention this: I am soo so grateful for having
such a competent and understanding team! I really thank everyone of
them: Alice, Hu Ying, Yilun and Gary!!!! Not only had they taken up alot
of initiative in deciding the best ways to display the content of the slides,
I also appreciate their understanding and help with the logistics for the
event! (like helping me tp put up biz buzz posters!)
For example, they helped to search for some information while I was out
bargaining with food caterers for a good price on the food for tomorrow!
I am also glade that they trusted that I am not taking my own sweet time
to do all the logistics and technical setup for the event!
It is with their understanding and teamwork that allowed be both a participant
and an organiser of the competition for Shanghai side at the same time!
Alice, Hu Ying, Yi lun, Gary, you all ROX! (^_^)
TSD Day141:BizBuzz07 in less than 48hours!!!
haha! Less than 48 hours and I am still in office!!! haha!
completed my work in office, and also a meeting with AVAYA.
Hmmm Cisco and AVAYA… (and some other vendors)… which is
better? haha! Also helped Boss and the COO prepare slides
for Boos’ presentation to the board on Monday in Singapore!
BizBuzz07 Case preparation!!!!!
MEt up with my FANTASTIC team at Zhongshan park station!
we are prepared to camp over at my house to do up the competition
contents! wow! its pretty interesting! our discussions on where to head
what to do, how to do it!
Also! I got to realized that these fudan friends of mine are prepared
to not sleep! haha! but in the end we still took a rest at about 3-4am!
woke up early next day to prepare to go to the venue fro more pratice!
I love my team! they are sooo enthusiastic!!! special thanks to WEileen and
Michelle for writing words of encouragement! haha! (^_^)
