HKDay0259: Exploring Kodiak and meeting the team for the next 14 days!
Today I woke up late after sleeping 12 hours! Then met John and Matt to explore the museums in Kodiak! Had tasted McDonalds here but the fillet o fish is different (better) maybe because it was locally owned and operated. Also went to the museums and realised that actually Alaska was bought from RUSSIA hence this place has Russian buildings and heritage! After that went to the harbour before meeting the folks at the brewery then had dinner together at the Japanese restaurant which serves superbly fresh Alaskan seafood and had Codfish this time!!! Packed my bags and ready to go!

Exploring the oldest russian building in Kodiak and learning about bears and old kayaks with seal skin waterproofed with seal oil!!!

HKDay0258: Anchorage to Kodiak!
Going to spend a night in Anchorage airport (Alaska) before going to Kodiak! Had a nice Alaskan dinner at the airport and had Alaskan Salmon burger and Ale (“Broken Tooth Fair Weather” -> Ale name) before brushing my teeth and preparing to wake up later at 530am (Alaska Time) for my flight!
Met Hans at Kodiak and he invited me to his cosy home for breakfast before going to Jim and Amy’s house which I will stay for 2 days. The people are so warm and nice here!!! Really like their houses all made of wood which could withstand earthquakes better than steel and concrete. Also saw the kayaking equipment Sandra prepared! So awesome!
After washing up, went with Hans and John to trek the mountains and see the wind mill! It was awesome as we also tasted the berries along the way and they know the plants so well (what’s poisonous etc). Had dinner at the Japanese Restaurant which serves fresh Alaskan seafood!!!
Crashed the moment I came home!

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.” Steve Jobs
