Today is the final day of the day sailing. Went out from Keppel to East Buran area then to MBS before turning to Lazarus Bay for lunch. Then it rained really heavily when we headed back. Finally. I am a Day Skipper!

RZ the day skipper!
Sailed back to Keppel bay today and had no wind at first. Learnt to look at cloud shapes and water surface to find wind. Was caught in a storm in the afternoon that left us all drenched.
Was so thankful the others can cook! Had hot curry chicken rice for dinner in the cold winds! 超感动!
Night sailing was really cool. Letting the quiet wind bring your boat across the waters and watching out the night sea traffic. Also saw stars like the orion belt.

reached more than 7 knots night sailing!
Went out to sea as usual and did 20 tacks, some gybes ans man overboard practice. Also covered thoery in the morning.
It rained the entire day and it was wet and cold! But super fun! Boat was tilting alot most of the time. And we had burgers for lunch! First time baking the patties in a gas oven in the boat!
Dinner was by the seaside. Very nice and rustic.
Today was the best day of my life! Never sailed out like this on my own to somewhere new and everyone was safe and sound! Also had half the crew preparing lunch while sailing!
The waves were choppy due to the monsoon wind and the boat was bumping up and down and always at a 30 degrees…
But it was so awesome. And I need to plan tomorrow’s expedition…
Started the course today. Was really surprised to find that I was the only one on Day Skipper while the rest is on competent crew. But the group was so warm and friendly, I think I will have no problems staying with them for the next few days.
Today I sailed Endeavour using Stirling instead of tiller. Weather was stormy and she was tilting much.
Also had a great experience preparing lunch for the entire crew!
At night, I was tasked with the waypoints for tomorrow’s expedition. Sigh. Not easy.
